HAIR CARE TIPS TO GET THE HEALTHY-LOOKING HAIR: SHAMPOOS

Let's start with some introduction to my hair, it's not coloured (although it has been in the past), extra long and trimmed once in 2-3 months. I can't claim I have the healthiest looking hair in the world, I don't, and I do get hair loss from time to time. However, since I have started treating my hair like a temple, it thanked me in return. I can't promise you are going to get the super-shiny, super-long and luxurious hair that you see in shampoo advertisements, but what I can promise is that if you treat your hair like a temple it will thank you back as well. Hopefully these few steps will get you closer to having beautiful, healthy-looking hair.
The more organic and natural is the shampoo that you wash your hair with, the better. Pay attention to the ingredients at the back of your shampoo bottle. Trust me, you don't want to be washing your hair with shampoos that include sulphates, alcohol or parabens. The sulphates are synthetic and cheap detergents that are very perfect at washing away the dirt and making your hair feel soft right after the wash. The reality is in the long-term they irritate the scalp of your head and make your hair drier. Usage of a sulphate free shampoo will require you to wash your hair one or two extra times, but your hair will be definitely feel and look healthier as a result. Alcohol as well dries out your hair, while the parabens used in a shampoo to prolong its shelf life cause hormonal disbalance (which basically means LOADS of hair loss) and some claim it's linked to cancer. 
About 2 years ago, I have discovered this amazing independent Canadian beauty care company called Calia Natural, and their shampoos are I quote "as pure and natural as possible". Since I started using their shampoos, my hair is literally the strongest and longest it's ever been. Calia have a wide range of shampoos that you can choose from based on your hair type, but I use the balancing one in a pretty green bottle.
